Pa. Dentist Pleads Not Guilty to Waste Dumping Charges

COURT HOUSE — According to a report on Philly.com, the Main Line dentist who owns a summer home in the Avalon Manor section of Middle Township pleaded not guilty Thursday, Jan. 15 on charges of dumping needles and other medical waste from his boat.
The waste then washed up on area shorelines forcing beach closures in several towns.
Thomas William McFarland, 59, of Wynnewood, Pa., was indicted in November.
If convicted, McFarland could face up to ten years in prison and more that $125,000 in fines.
