COURT HOUSE – Middle Township Police Department received information Jan. 23 that a student who takes online courses through Atlantic Cape Community College, located in Court House, posted a threatening message on Facebook.
According to a release, after further investigation, it was discovered that Dara Kingsman, 27, posted on Facebook that she wanted to blow up unemployment or Atlantic Cape. The statement to blow up Atlantic Cape and unemployment (New Jersey State of Employment Services), was a general threat, and an exact location was not provided in the threat.
Kingsman was charged with terroristic threats and released from Middle Township Police Department without incident.
Atlantic Cape’s Cape May County campus was searched by the K-9 Unit of the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department. There is no cause for concern at this time, and Atlantic Cape remains open.
The investigation was conducted by Middle Township Police Department’s Patrol Division and Major Crimes Unit, as well as, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
The individual(s) listed is/are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
