GOSHEN – During the March 29 execution of a court-authorized search warrant in the 200 block of North Route 47 in the Goshen section of Middle Township, members of the Cape May County Regional SWAT team were attacked by a 135-pound, aggressive dog and unfortunately had to shoot and kill the dog, Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor announced in an April 4 release.

As a result of the search warrant, Joseph P. McCarraher, 27, of Goshen was arrested for outstanding failure to appear warrants and was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center. The search warrant was issued as a result of an ongoing robbery investigation involving a handgun.
