Ocean City Spa Operator Faces Prostitution-Related Charges

The following is based on information received from a law enforcement agency. The person(s) named is innocent until proven otherwise in court.
OCEAN CITY – The arrest of an Ocean City resident on prostitution-related charges was announced Dec. 17 by Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Acting Chief Jay Prettyman of the Ocean City Police Department.
Grace Li, 61, operator of L&G Spa in the 500 block of East Ninth Street, was charged Dec. 13 after a court-authorized search warrant was executed at that address.
According to a release, in July 2018 the Ocean City Police Department received information regarding alleged prostitution occurring at the L&G Spa.
An investigation was initiated by detectives from the Ocean City Police Department, Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.
The investigation revealed customers could purchase sexual acts from females inside the business.
Li was charged with managing a house of prostitution. Li was processed and released with a summons pending court proceedings.
Sutherland advised this is an on-going investigation and additional charges may be pending.
