OCEAN CITY – During the week of Feb. 21-27, the Ocean City Police Department responded to the following calls for service.
Feb. 21:                                                 
Calls for service: 78

  • The Police Department assisted with 4 Fire and 4 EMS calls
  • Motor vehicle accident, 3500 block Bay Ave., at 7:10am
  • Warrant, 500 block Ocean Ave., two in custody, at 1:34pm
  • Warrant, 3200 block Asbury Ave., one in custody, at 4:57pm 

Feb. 22: 
Calls for service: 68
Motor Vehicle Stops: 14     
Motor Vehicle Accidents: 0    
Property Checks: 26        
Alarms: 3

  • The Police Department assisted with 4 Fire and 3 EMS calls
  • Criminal mischief, Bayland Dr., at 12:41pm

  • The Police Department assisted with 2 fire and 4 EMS calls
  • Motor vehicle accident, 800 block West Ave., at 10:56am
  • Motor vehicle accident, 800 block 5th St., at 12:08pm
  • Motor vehicle accident, 1600 block Central Ave., at 5:54pm 

Public Service Announcements:

  • Just a reminder that it is a violation of a City Ordinance to have dogs on the boardwalk anytime during the year.
  • City Ordinance 87-17sec.4-32 prohibits any Boat/Trailer over 22 feet in overall length from being parked on a city street.  Any boat/trailer less than 22 feet in overall length can only remain on a city street for three consecutive days.  Officers will be issuing summons and towing boats/trailers for any observed violations.
  • Please remember that during the winter months all outside water should be shut off and drained.  Also your interior heat should be set at a temperature that will keep your pipes from freezing.
