OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City Police Department over the last 48 hours has received eight reports of vehicle burglaries and thefts.
These thefts occurred during the overnight hours of Dec. 1 -2.
The majority of the reported incidents occurred west of Bay Avenue in the Riviera section and Sweetwater Court sections of Ocean City.
There was also one reported incident in the 800 block of 3rd Street.
The majority of the vehicles entered were unlocked at the time the thefts occurred. Taken during the thefts were valuables left in the vehicles including electronics, personal items and cash.
The Police Department would like to advise citizens to always lock your car doors and do not leave any valuables in plain sight.
If you have been a Victim of a similar crime in Ocean City please report the incident immediately. A delay in reporting may result in a delay in the investigation being solved.
Also remember to report any suspicious persons or activities in your neighborhoods.
