PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCMENTS:
• The Ocean City Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is now actively running Aggressive Driving Patrols daily. This information is being broadcast on local radio stations about areas in the city that are targeted for enforcement. Please be advised that this is a zero tolerance program. Areas of concern include; pedestrian safety and crosswalks, cell phones, seat belts, speeding and road rage incidents
• The New Jersey Division for Traffic Safety will be kicking off a new Bicycle Safety Campaign State wide in Ocean City. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 9th St. & Haven Ave. at 12 noon along the new Bicycle Route. Everyone is encouraged to attend and ride along the new bicycle route. Please remember to wear your helmet when riding a bicycle
• Get ready for the Annual National Night event on August 5, 2008. The event will be held on the 5th & 6th St. sports complex at Bay Avenue. This is a family fun event with movies, rides, safety information, music and many more surprises.
