OCEAN CITY — For the week June 8-14, 2008, Ocean City Police Department reported 1,433 calls for service, an average 205 per day.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCMENTS:
• The Ocean City Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is now actively running Aggressive Driving Pa-trols daily. This information is being broadcast on local radio stations about areas in the city that are targeted for enforcement. Please be advised that this is a zero tolerance program. Areas of concern include; pedestrian safety and crosswalks, cell phones, seat belts, speeding and road rage incidents
• The Police Department assisted with traffic control and security for the Miss New Jersey Pageant and Parade held during the week of 06/08 – 06/14
• Lt. Rich Washart spoke to the Upper Twp. Girl Scout Troop. The presentation included safety issues and the introduction of the various tools that police officers use during their daily shift.
• The Noise/Alcohol Unit has been very proactive in their approach to the quality of life issues that Ocean City residents must deal with during our summer season. Below is a list of the statistics for the week of June 8 thru June 14, 2008:

• Chief Chad Callahan is scheduled to appear on local radio station WIBG 1020 AM on June 21, at 1 p.m.
He will speak about the Community Policing Philosophy in Ocean City and will be interviewed by Hosts; Councilman Keith Hartzell and Chuck Betson.
