Ocean City Police Have ‘Zero Tolerance’ for ‘Quality of Life’ Issues

By Herald Staff

OCEAN CITY — The police department here would like to remind its citizens and visitors that there is a “zero tolerance” policy when it comes to “quality of life” type issues such as underage drinking, noise violations and public consumption of
alcohol.
A specialized six-man unit is in place to deal with these issues during the summer season. As always, the department encourages the public to call the police with any and all complaints.
“Remember the public is the ‘eyes and ears’ of law enforcement,” a release stated. “Together we help keep our neighborhoods and city safe by keeping an open line of communication. Your efforts will help in promoting Ocean City as ‘America’s Greatest Family Resort’.”
If you have any questions or problems in your neighborhood, please feel free to contact the supervisor in charge of the Noise/Alcohol Unit, Sgt. David Hall at (609) 525-9108 or dhall@ocnj.us.
