PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCMENTS:
The Ocean City Police Department assisted with the policing of the first annual Stunt Plane Airshow along the beachfront on Sept. 14, 2008. This event was an overwhelming success with many visitors and residents enjoying the 2 hour show and the extremely warm weather and ocean temperatures.
The Ocean City Police Department participated in the annual Air Show at the Ocean City Municipal Airport. An informational table was available for citizen questions. This table was manned by the Community Oriented Policing Unit.
The Ocean City Police Department and Ocean City Chamber of Commerce hosted a Benefit in support of the new K-9 Unit and Motorcycle Unit. The benefit was held at the Deauville Inn on Sept. 19, 2008 and was a great success. Over $7,500 was raised in support of the new programs. The event was attended by approximately 400 persons. We would like to thank the Deauville Inn and all those members of the Community that showed their support in attending the event.
