Ocean City Police Allege Drug Dealing

By Herald Staff

OCEAN CITY — On Nov. 20 at approximately 7:57 p.m., Detectives Stephen Sullivan and Dan Lancaster were conducting an investigation into the sale of marijuana in the 3300 block of West Avenue.
During the investigation the officers were able to observe a suspect, later identified as David A. Coach, 21, of Seaville, acting in a suspicious manner near a vehicle believed to be involved with the investigation.
When the officers approached Coach, he attempted to obstruct the investigation. The officers were able to secure him and place him into custody.
A search warrant was then executed on a vehicle owned by the suspect. Inside the vehicle the officers found marijuana and other items commonly used to distribute narcotics.
Coach was charged with distribution of controlled dangerous substance, distribution near a public park, possession of marijuana, possession drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice and resisting arrest. He was lodged in county jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail set by Judge Richard Russell.
