OCEAN CITY — On Sept. 1 at 5:48 p.m., in the 3300 block West Avenue, Ocean City Police Department received information about an individual who was selling cocaine.
Detectives Sullivan and Lancaster were able to set up surveillance on the suspect, later identified as Javier Martinez-Rodriguez, 22, of this city.
After observing the Martinez-Rodriguez involved in several alleged controlled dangerous substance transactions the suspect was then approached by the detectives, according to a release.
Detectives were able to conduct a search of the Martinez-Rodriguez that led to the discovery of 12 individual “Zip Lock” bags containing suspected cocaine. Judge Richard Russell issued a warrant in the amount of $20,000 full cash bail.
Martinez-Rodriguez was charged with distribution-manufacture of cocaine, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
