STONE HARBOR — On July 3 a resident here reported that her home had been entered by unknown person(s) resulting in the theft of jewelry and cash with a value of more than $45,000.
Stone Harbor Police Department detectives responded and processed the burglary scene and recovered potential evidence. Evidence was submitted to the NJ State Police and linked Teresa Danielewicz, 54, of Brooklyn, NY, to the scene.
The New York City Police Department Document and Fraud Unit apprehended Danielewicz on Nov. 10.
She is wanted in multiple jurisdictions for various criminal matters and is also under investigation by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency.
Danielewicz was extradited from New York City by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office in charges of burglary and theft and held in lieu of $70,000 cash bail set by Judge John Fowler.
