North Wildwood Police Arrest Fugitive from Pennsylvania

NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police Officer Eric Nevil made a traffic stop on the 900 block of Surf Avenue after North Wildwood Detectives gathered information about a fugitive living in the area Mar. 5 at approximately 9:13 a.m.
It was confirmed that the operator of the vehicle, Franca Iovacchini, was wanted out of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Delaware County, for a narcotics related charge. Iovacchini was also wanted by North Wildwood Police for credit card theft from an incident in 2013.
Iovacchini, 33, residing in North Wildwood, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice from the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She was also a wanted person from the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department for a violation of probation and had warrants from Wildwood and Atlantic City Municipal Courts. Iovacchini was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center where she is awaiting extradition.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
