ERMA — Lower Township police netted their first arrest, July 3, after installation of new security equipment and a new police security detail assigned to the Municipal Court here.
Police said a concerned citizen informed them of suspicions after observing an individual enter the court building then head back out after seeing security in place. Once outside, the individual was observed placing an object in some shrubs.
Police investigation revealed the object to be a tin container which contained alleged marijuana.
Arrested was Vince Dobbins, 26, of the 500 block of Indian Avenue, North Cape May section of the township. He was charged with possession of alleged marijuana, a controlled dangerous substance, and a disorderly persons offense. Dobbins was released on a summons.
