Narcotics Investigation Leads to Arrest of Upper Township Resident

MARMORA – A resident of Upper Township was arrested during the execution of a search warrant in the Marmora section of Upper Township, Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor announced Oct. 17.
On Oct. 16, members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force with assistance from members of the New Jersey State Police Woodbine Barracks Detective Bureau concluded a narcotics investigation with the execution of a court authorized search warrant at a residence located on the 600 block of South Shore Road in the Marmara section of Upper Township.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, an amount of alpha-pyrrolidinopeniophenone, a schedule I controlled dangerous substance, over 28 grams of marijuana and three firearms were seized, along with $19,225. A passenger style motor vehicle utilized by Angelo Cuculino, 48, during this investigation, was also seized and is pending civil forfeiture.
As a result of the investigation, Cuculino was charged with the following and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $75,000 full cash bail:
Possession of a schedule I controlled dangerous substance, a third degree crime.
Possession with intent to distribute a a schedule I controlled dangerous substance, a third degree crime.
Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a third degree crime.
Unlawful possession of a weapon, a second degree crime.
Certain person not to possess a weapon, a second degree crime.
Possession of a weapon during the commission of a CDS offence, a second degree crime.
Prosecutor Taylor advises that persons convicted of a second degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of 5 to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison; persons convicted of a fourth degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment up to 18 months in New Jersey State Prison. The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
