Narcotic Search Warrant Results in Two Arrests

WHITESBORO – Middle Township Street Crimes Unit, with the assistance of the Cape May County SWAT team, executed a search warrant in the 100 block Gibson Avenue in Whitesboro, according to a June 28 release.
As a result of the warrant over 100 bags of heroin, and just under $3,000 in cash was seized.
Two residents were arrested and charged with possession and distribution of narcotics, Josue Capella, 31, and Melissa Vandvelt, 35. They were both lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center on $50,000 cash bail.

The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
