N. Wildwood Police Make Arrest In Multiple Vehicle Burglaries

The following is based on information received from a law enforcement agency. The person(s) named is innocent unless proven otherwise in court.
NORTH WILDWOOD – Michael Thomson was arrested May 15 in Mt. Laurel for a string of recent vehicle burglaries and thefts in North Wildwood with some of them dating to July 2018.  
According to a release, North Wildwood Police detectives investigated and executed a search warrant at a residence on Periwinkle Drive in Mt. Laurel with the assistance of the Mt. Laurel Police Department.  
Several items reported stolen in North Wildwood were recovered at the residence. More stolen property was recovered at a residence on 10th Avenue in North Wildwood. 
On July 11, 2018, a request was made for assistance from the public to attempt to identify a suspect who burglarized an unlocked vehicle and attempted to burglarize several others. A picture of the suspect, taken from a security camera, was posted on North Wildwood Police Department’s social media accounts and was sent to the media. Thomson was charged for this burglary as well.
Thomson, 34, residing in Mt. Laurel, was arrested and charged with 10 counts of burglary and theft as well as possession of CDS (heroin) and was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility on a warrant.  
Thomson also has charges pending in Mt. Laurel as a result of the executed search warrant.  
The public is reminded to lock all vehicles and remove all valuables when vehicles are not in use.  
All the burglaries in North Wildwood that Thomson was charged for were from vehicles that were unlocked.
