NORTH WILDWOOD- On Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 3:30 AM, North Wildwood Police Sergeant Daniel Schules and Officer Kristina Bowen were flagged down in the area of 10th Avenue and John F. Kennedy Drive for a report of a female who had just entered a vehicle and removed a purse. The vehicle in question was burglarized one block north on 9th Avenue. Minutes later, Officer Darren Montes located the accused, Diana Pedi, on the 500 block of East 12th Avenue. Further investigation revealed that another vehicle was burglarized in the 500 block of East 7th Avenue. Both vehicles that were burglarized were left unlocked.
Diana M. Pedi, 20, residing in Bronx, NY, was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft. She posted 10 percent of $2,500 bail and was released pending court.
