Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Three Drug Arrests

VILLAS – Special Officer Mellina conducted a motor vehicle stop on West Ocean and Bermuda Avenue in the Villas section of Lower Township May 29 at approximately 11 p.m.
While investigating the stop, it was discovered that the driver of the vehicle, Mario Fantini, 19, residing in Pennsylvania, and the two occupants of the vehicle, Collin Dougherty, 19, and Sean Coleman, 19, also of Pennsylvania, were found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically marijuana.
The three subjects were arrested on scene and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. The driver, Fantini, was additionally charged with speeding and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. Coleman was also charged with possession of paraphernalia.
All three were released on summons.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
