VILLAS – On April 21, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Lower Township detectives were conducting surveillance in the area of a Villas convenience store due to reports of narcotics activity.
A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Tennessee Avenue and Bayshore Road for a traffic infraction.
While investigating the stop detectives observed marijuana inside the vehicle.
The owner Corey Worby, 20, of Villas was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS), specifically marijuana.
Worby was arrested on scene and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released on a criminal summons charging him with possession of marijuana, a disorderly person’s offense.
