Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Fugitive Arrest

WILDWOOD CREST – Special Officer Cole Gasperini conducted a motor vehicle stop on Pacific Ave. Aug. 18 at 3:15 p.m.
During the stop, Officer Gasperini learned that the driver, David Shaw of Brookhaven Pa., was a wanted person out of Pennsylvania and Florida. Shaw was wanted for grand theft larceny from Florida and a violation of probation from Pennsylvania.
Shaw was arrested for being a fugitive from justice from each state. In addition, Shaw was arrested for driving while intoxicated and hindering his own apprehension and other traffic violations.
Shaw was lodged without bail and awaits extradition.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
