Motel Fight Ends in Arrest

WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest police were called to a disturbance Sept. 2 at 9:52 p.m. at a motel on the 6400 block Atlantic Avenue. 
Upon arriving, Lt. Robert Lloyd and Sgt. Rick D’Amico observed two males fighting on the second floor of the motel. In attempting to separate the subjects involved, Lt. Lloyd was struck by Mark Sitkowski, 51, of Pennsauken, who continued to resist as he was placed under arrest. Sitkowski was subsequently charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $5,000/10 percent. Sitkowski was released after posting the 10 percent.
Lt. Lloyd sustained minor injuries in the altercation that did not require medical attention. 
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
