Month-long Investigation Ends in Narcotics Arrest

The following is based on information received from a law enforcement agency. The person(s) named is innocent until proven otherwise in court. The abbreviation CDS stands for controlled dangerous substance.
WILDWOOD — The Wildwood Police Department Detective Division concluded a month-long investigation into the distribution of narcotics from a motel located in the 4300 block of Washington Avenue in Wildwood with the execution of multiple search warrants Oct. 20.
According to a release, those search warrants, which targeted a specific apartment at the motel along with several motor vehicles, resulted in the seizure of distribution quantities of heroin packaged for street-level sales. In all, approximately 120 bags of heroin with a value of $1,200 were recovered, along with an amount of marijuana.
As a result of this investigation, Joemar Soberal, 25, of Wildwood, was arrested and charged with possession of CDS heroin – 3rd degree, possession of CDS / heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of CDS / heroin with the intent to distribute in a school zone, possession of CDS / oxycodone, possession of CDS / marijuana, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
In accordance with the New Jersey Attorney General’s Bail Reform and Directives, Soberal was released on a summons complaint after processing.
