Middle Twp Man Charged with Child Porn

The following is based on information received from a law enforcement agency. The person(s) named is innocent until proven otherwise in court.
GREEN CREEK – A 46-year-old Green Creek resident was arrested Sept. 28 and charged with possession of child pornography.
According to a release from Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner, Christopher Kobielnik’s arrest resulted from an investigation from two tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTips that “revealed an unknown subject possessed images of suspected child pornography on a home computer.”
That action resulted in the execution of a court-authorized search warrant on Sept. 18, 2018, of Kobielnik’s residence by members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Homeland Security, New Jersey State Police and Middle Township Police Department.
As a result of the search warrant, electronic items were seized with several child pornography images.
Following the investigation, Kobielnik was arrested the same day and charged with possession of child pornography. He was processed and released on a summons pending court proceedings.
Sutherland recognized the Homeland Security Investigations (ICE-Division) and the New Jersey State Police Digital Technology Unit for their assistance in the investigation.
He added that the investigation was part of an ongoing effort by the County Prosecutor’s Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to identify those involved in the child pornography trade.
