Middle Township Police Seek Caribbean Cab Robbery Suspect

RIO GRANDE – On May 17 at about 5:20 a.m., Middle Township police received a report of a robbery of a Caribbean Cab.
The driver had taken a fare to Fourth Street in Rio Grande.
When they arrived the passenger threatened the driver with a box cutter and attempted to take money.
The cab driver was able to fight off the attacker. The robber only made off with a cell phone.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
The cab driver then drove to the WaWa in Rio Grande to report the assault.
The suspect is described as a white male, mid thirties, crew cut hair, and hooded sweatshirt.
If anyone has information about the robbery they are urged to call Middle Township Police at 465-8700.
