The following is based on information received from a law enforcement agency. The person(s) named is innocent until proven otherwise in court.
COURT HOUSE — The Middle Township Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit received a report Dec. 8, at about 2 p.m., that a 15-year-old male was walking on Stagecoach Road on Dec. 7, at approximately 1 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up to him, driven by Joseph Cosentino, 63, of the 200 block Stagecoach Road, Court House.
According to a release, Cosentino stopped and asked the teen if he needed a ride, and the juvenile agreed to get into Cosentino’s vehicle.
During Cosentino’s interaction with the juvenile, he offered the teen money for sexual favors which the juvenile declined. Cosentino dropped off the juvenile in the Wildwood area and gave him his phone number in the event he changed his mind.
Cosentino was taken into custody and transported to the Middle Township Police Department where he was charged with luring, enticing a child, criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Cosentino was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
