WILDWOOD– Donald Mabry, 31, was staying at the Starlux Hotel on Rio Grande Avenue, when he shot himself with a handgun in his left hand at about 2 p.m., on Sat. Oct. 23.
He was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center by Wildwood fire department and AtlantiCare paramedics where he was treated and released.
Police said Mabry was found in possession of marijuana and heroin.
Mabry was charged with possession of a handgun, unlawful possession of a weapon, being a certain person not permitted to possess a weapon, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and possession of armor-piercing bullets.
Mabry was being held Sunday morning at the Cape May County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
