Middle Police Seek Brothers Facing Weapons Charges

WHITESBORO – Middle Township Police Department responded to Wildwood Avenue in Whitesboro for a report of shots fired Sunday, Aug. 9 at 3 a.m. Upon arrival of patrol units about 10 people were found in the area. A shell casing was found on the road. The investigation at the scene lead to the arrest of Brian D. Thompson, 29, of Whitesboro, and the seizure of two vehicles for evidence.
Brian Thompson was lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center on $50,000 bail for various weapons offenses.
The Middle Township Major Crime Unit obtained a search warrant to search the two vehicles that were seized. More weapons and evidence were recovered which lead to additional charges for Brian Thompson, and his brother George T. Thompson, 33, of Whitesboro.
Brian Thompson had bailed out of the Cape May County Correctional Center prior to the completion of the investigation. Currently Brian and George Thompson are wanted for weapons violations.

The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
