Middle Police Arrest Two in Domestic Dispute

COURT HOUSE — On Friday, Dec. 26, the Middle Township. Police Department responded to a domestic dispute at 302 Dias Creek Road, Court House.
Upon arrival, officers found Christina Steelman, 36, holding a baseball bat and George Rice Jr., 41, of 211 Rieck Ave., Millville, standing by his vehicle which had been damaged.
Further investigation revealed that an argument occurred at the residence, and when Rice Jr. would not leave, Steelman obtained the bat and followed Rice Jr. to his vehicle where she attempted to strike him two times.
She missed both times and hit the vehicle causing damage to it. Rice Jr. was not injured.
Steelman was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and criminal mischief.
he was released on her own recognizance.
Rice Jr. was charged with simple assault. He was also released.
Patrolman Michael Harron and Detective Robert Shepherd investigated.
