By Press Release

ERMA – Patrolman Kevin Boyle Jr. of the Lower Township Police Department was dispatched to a business located on Seashore Road in Erma April 20 for the report of a theft of various metals and vehicle parts. The victim of the theft reported the value of the items stolen totaled over $1,000.
During the investigation, it was learned that the business, from which the theft had occurred, had surveillance footage from the evening in question. As a result of the video, officers were able to identify a possible suspect. A follow up investigation was conducted and contact was made with Steven M. Szymborksi, 44, of Villas.
Police said Szymborksi admitted to taking the items from the business and was still in possession of many of the items that were taken. He was placed under arrest for theft, third degree, and was processed at the Lower Township Police Department.
Szymborksi was placed on a summons and released on his own recognizance, pending court. This investigation was completed by Patrolman Kevin Boyle Jr. of the Lower Township Police Department.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
