CAMDEN – Sentencing for owners of popular Ocean City restaurant chain Manco & Manco Pizza has been postponed a second time, according to a report on Shore News Today.
According to U.S. Attorney’s Office, Charles and Mary Bangle will now be sentenced March 18, with Mary Bangle’s sentencing scheduled for 9:30 a.m., and Charles Bangle’s scheduled for 10 a.m.
The Bangles were set to be sentenced at federal court in Camden Dec. 9. Prior to that, they were set to be sentenced Oct. 8.
The Bangles pleaded guilty to tax evasion, structuring cash payments to avoid reporting requirements and lying to IRS special agents, according to a July 2 release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The tax evasion count to which Charles Bangle, 55, of Somers Point, N.J. pleaded guilty carries a maximum potential penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, or twice the gain or loss arising out of the offense. The structuring count to which Charles Bangle pleaded guilty carries a maximum potential penalty of ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine or twice the gain or loss from the offense.
The false statements charge to which Mary Bangle, 54, also of Somers Point, pleaded guilty carries a maximum potential penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, or twice the gain or loss from the offense.
