Man Pleads Guilty To Drug-Induced Death

COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland announced a guilty plea in Superior Court May 17 by Daniel Osmundsen to first-degree strict liability for drug-induced death.

According to a release, Osmundsen, 26, of Court House, was charged Oct. 25, 2017 with one count of first-degree strict liability for drug-induced death, two counts of third-degree possession with intent to distribute CDS (controlled dangerous substance), and two counts of third-degree possession of CDS.

These charges were the result of a joint investigation into the death of Sonny Sinnerard, 23, by detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office and the Middle Township Police Department.

Judge Michael J. Donohue presided over the matter. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 14.
