WILDWOOD – Jonathan Moya, 31, of Wildwood, accused of shooting someone in the leg with a crossbow, has been indicted on attempted murder charges, according to a report on NBC 40.
During the course of a joint investigation conducted by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes and Crime Scene Units and the Wildwood Police Department, Detective Division it was determined that Moya was responsible for shooting the victim with a crossbow within a motel located in the 100 East Block of Schellenger Avenue Aug. 5.
Moya is also facing weapons charges in the indictment.
Additionally, Carlos Casanova-Rosario, 29, of Wildwood, has been charged in the case, with hindering apprehension and obstruction.
According to NBC 40, the three men involved were allegedly arguing about drugs when the shooting occurred.
It is unknown if either man charged has retained a lawyer.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
