Man Charged with Sexual Assault of a Child in Lower Township

LOWER TOWNSHIP- Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Lower Township Police Chief William Mastriana announce the arrest of Nathan Rosser, 18, of Philadelphia, for the sexual assault of a child.
On Sept. 18, Lower Township police were notified of a sexual assault which had occurred in Lower Township. An ensuing investigation was conducted by Lower Township Detectives and members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Special Victims Unit. As a result, Rosser was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault, a crime of the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child, a crime of the second degree.
Prosecutor Taylor advises that persons convicted of a first degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of 10 to 20 years. Persons convicted of a second degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of 5 to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison.
As a result of the charges, Rosser was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $325,000 cash bail.
Prosecutor Taylor and Chief Mastriana would like to recognize all the investigators involved in this case which resulted in a successful conclusion.
