Man Charged with Burglary of 4 Rio Grande Businesses

This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
RIO GRANDE – Middle Township Police Department received a report of a burglar alarm at a cellphone store, located on the 3300 block Route 9 South in Rio Grande, Oct. 15 at approximately 3:30 a.m. 
Upon arrival, officers found a rock had been thrown through the front glass door, causing damage but no entry had been made. An adjacent business, a nail salon, also had a rock thrown through the front glass door where entry was made and approximately $400 was taken. 
A video game store and another nail salon, both located on the 1500 block Route 47 South in Rio Grande, were also burglarized. Video from the businesses revealed a description of the suspect and it was relayed to patrol.
The suspect, Brandon D. Wilson, 19, of Paulsboro, was located at a motel on the 1600 block Route 47 South in Rio Grande. Wilson was placed under arrest and charged with four counts of burglary and one count of theft
Additionally, it was revealed the vehicle Wilson was in possession of, a 2017 Nissan Maxima, was stolen out of Sewell. Wilson was also charged with receiving stolen property.
Wilson was processed and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center. 
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
