RIO GRANDE — Middle Township police arrested and charged Brian Nixon, 30, of Pleasantville, with sexual assault and human trafficking. The arrest took place April 18.
According to police, an investigation revealed Nixon befriended a teenaged girl and sexually assaulted her. He then recruited her into becoming a prostitute in Atlantic County. Nixon transported the young girl from Middle Township to Atlantic County and oversaw activities related to prostitution while in Atlantic County.
Nixon is being held in the Cape May County Correctional Center on $100,000 bail.
Middle Township police, along with the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office began their investigation April 17. The investigation remains ongoing. Detectives are continuing pursuing all leads.
