COURT HOUSE – A Burleigh man has been charged in connection with an ATM that was stolen from Court House Diner.
According to a release, Gregory Lazicki, 27, was charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.
Middle Township Police Department received a report of a burglary that occurred at Court House Diner, 218 North Main St., Court House May 27.
Further investigation revealed sometime between 11 p.m. May 26 and 6:45 a.m. May 27, the phone, cable, and internet lines were all cut at the business, which are located on the north side of the building. The lock on the north lobby door, along Stone Harbor Boulevard, was removed and the unknown suspect(s) entered the lobby and stole an ATM, containing approximately $4,040.
The unknown suspect(s) then drug the ATM on the sidewalk, on the north side of the building to the last parking space facing the building, near the dumpster. It is believed the ATM was then loaded into a vehicle and removed from the scene.
Information was developed which lead to the arrest of Lazicki, who was served Oct. 3 at the Cape May County Correctional Center where he was being held on unrelated charges.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
