Man Arrested for Shooting Flares at 2 Homes

The following is based on information received from a law enforcement agency. The person named is innocent until proven otherwise in court.
COURT HOUSE – Middle Township Police Department Patrol Division responded to the 300 block of West Anna Street in Whitesboro and the 300 block of Goshen Road in Court House Oct. 8 at 6 a.m. for a report that these residences had been shot with flares.
According to a release, at the residence on West Anna Street, there was damage to the front of the residence and a window was broken. At the residence on Goshen Road, a flare was shot through a window of the residence, caught the carpet on fire and burn marks were discovered on the outside of the residence.
When police entered the residence on Goshen Road, the living room portion of the residence was full of smoke.  
Middle Township Major Crimes Unit and Street Crimes Unit, conducted a joint investigation and arrested James Dehainaut, 19, of Swainton and charged him with two counts of aggravated arson, two counts of employing a juvenile in a crime, two counts of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, two counts of receiving stolen property and one count of aggravated assault.
Dehainaut was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.    
The investigation revealed that there were also two juveniles involved in these incidents and their arrests were pending.
