WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest Police were called to the area of Lavender Rd. for a man down Sept. 13 at 8:05 a.m.
Upon arrival, Sgt. Robert Lloyd and Special Officer Lorenzo Plaza found Michael Rouleau of Wildwood Crest to be extremely intoxicated. During the course of the investigation, Rouleau became disorderly and was placed under arrest. While being handcuffed, Rouleau pulled away from officers and resisted. Sgt. Lloyd and Special Officer Plaza were able to get Rouleau under control and effect the arrest.
At police headquarters, Rouleau complained of chest pains and was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center. While there, Rouleau attempted to escape from custody by running away from Patrol Officer Sheets and the medical staff. Patrol Officer Sheets was able to re-capture Rouleau in the hospital without incident.
Rouleau was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and escape. He was lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $50,000 bail.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
