VILLAS – The Lower Township Police Department responded to a total of 822 calls for service during the week of June 30 through July 6, averaging a total of 118 calls per day. Police also made a total number of 16 arrests during this period. The following incidents were also investigated.

Please Check on your Senior Family, Friends and Neighbors this Summer
As the temperature climbs this summer, please check on your senior family, friends and neighbors. Remind them of the Lower Cape Senior Center, located at 2612 Bayshore Road, if they need to cool off for awhile. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and their phone number is 609-886-5161. In addition, the Lower Township Police Department wants to remind its citizens of the Senior Citizen Check Call Program. Seniors can sign up for the program which will require them to call and check in with the Police Department before 12 noon, daily. If a call is not received, we will make attempts to contact the senior, including a visit to the home if necessary. For more information and/or to obtain a form to sign up for the
