VILLAS – The Lower Township Police Department responded to a total of 621 calls for service during the week of Feb. 2 through Feb. 8, averaging a total of 89 calls per day. Police also made a total number of 18 arrests during this period. The following incidents were also investigated.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Lower Township Residents Can Now Receive Real Time Public Safety Messages through Nixle
Lower Township has partnered with Nixle to implement its Community Notification System to alert residents in real-time for localized emergency situations and relevant community advisories from the Township. As a resident, there are several simple ways to register:
1. Text your Zip Code to 888777 from your mobile phone.
2. Go to the Lower Township Police Department website at www.lowertownshippolice.com or the Township website at www.townshipoflower.org and sign up via the Nixle Widget on the home page. Just click the Sign Up button and enter your information and alert preferences. Nixle allows subscribers to customize their alerting preferences; residents can choose to receive notifications by text message, email, voice call and/or social media.
Nixle also includes a component for citizens to report anonymous tips by:
1. Replying to messages from the Lower Township Police Department.
2. Texting TIP LTPD to 888777, followed by your message
3. Calling the Nixle Tip Hotline at 855-847-7247
4. Or via the LTPD website at www.lowertownshippolice.com and clicking on Submit an Anonymous Tip
