Lower Township Police Handled 786 Calls June 1-7

ERMA — Lower Township Police Department reported that it handled 786 calls for the week June 1-7, an average of 112 per day.
Below is a summary of the more serious calls.
June 1:
Report of a disorderly conduct received at 1:11 a.m. at the Townbank Manor Apartments in North Cape May; reports of some type of altercation regarding unwanted guests from the apartments.
Report of a local ordinance violation received at 1:16 a.m. in the area of Beach Drive in Villas; reporting party states the neighbor is having a large party, responding officer spoke to the actor and it was turned down for the night, no complaints at this time.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 9:58 a.m. on west New Jersey Avenue reports a family dispute with juvenile breaking items in the house.
Report of disorderly conduct at 12:23 p.m. at Mulligan field Villas; reporting party states that hockey players are fighting during the game, turns out just to be some rough play between players
Report of disorderly conduct received at 3:59 p.m. in the 300 block of Linda Anne Avenue in North Cape May; Family dispute over an intoxicated person requiring a Police response to the victims house.
Report of a Criminal Mischief at 4:16 p.m. in the 400 block of Washington Boulevard in North Cape May; two tires were slashed overnight on a work truck, no suspects or other criminal mischief in the area.
Report of an aggravated assault received at 5:29 p.m. on Second Avenue in Erma; family dispute where a 17 year old juvenile punched his mother in the face needing medical treatment; the juvenile was arrested and charged accordingly.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 6:46 p.m. at Mulligan Field Villas, report of a suspicious male who was hanging around a little league game, was asked to leave by people at the field, he refused to go and the Police responded to investigate finding no violations.
Report of a Domestic Violence Incident received at 11:02 p.m. on Maple Avenue Villas, verbal dispute between husband and wife, husband was intoxicated, Temporary Restraining order was granted by Municipal Court Judge.
June 2:
Report of a trespasser at 2:55 a.m. on Ridgewood Avenue Villas; Caller reports hearing someone in his yard, an employee of a local business came to work early causing the noise.
Report of suicide received at 05:46 a.m. on Adriatic Avenue in North Cape May; Officer responded to a call regarding a male subject had shot himself in the head, he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Report of a theft received at 3:25 p.m. in the 1500 block of Bayshore Road Villas; upon officer’s arrival a local business had a shoplifter detained.
Report of harassment received at 3:05 p.m. in the 600 block of Atlantic Avenue in North Cape May; Reporting Party called police after receiving threatening message, actor located and was requested to stop and no other complaints were filed.
Report of large fight received at 7:59 p.m. in the 1800 block of Bayshore Road in North Cape May; numerous reports of a large fight at apartment complex, dispute was settled, all parties signed complaints against each other and are pending court.
June 3:
Report of intoxicated person received at 6:59 a.m. in the 1200 block of Route 109 in the Cold Springs section; Police assisted the USCG on boarding a vessel to investigate an intoxicated person, no cause for action by Police.
Report of a Domestic at 9:52 a.m. in the 100 block of Townbank Road in North Cape May; A restraining order was issued and served to the defendant.
Report of Criminal Mischief at 11:49 p.m. on Ocean Avenue Villas; Summer home looks as though someone tried to break in the house and the back door was kicked but no entry was made into the house.
Report of a narcotic investigation at 2:49 p.m. in the area of Schellenger Landing Road in Cold Spring; which resulted in a female being arrest for possession and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
Fraud complaint received at 6:35 p.m. on Pinetree Drive Villas; reporting party states he received a check from a hospital in Alabama, he was selling tools and was expecting some other check for the tools, advised to contact the hospital in Alabama.
Report of trespassing received at 2:24 p.m. in the first block of West Drumbed Road Villas, the victim reports coming home and states someone went through their house, investigation continues.
Report of a warrant arrest at 4:48 p.m. in the 300 block of Town Bank Road in North Cape May; Subject was placed under arrest for warrant out of Lower Township and two from the City of Wildwood; subject was processed and transported to the county jail.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 10:47 p.m. in the 3800 block of Bayshore Road in North Cape May; report of a fight at a local drinking establishment over a subject refusing to leave, subject left and no other complaints.
June 4:
Report of domestic violence received at 12:28 a.m. in the 600 block of Jacksonville Rd Villas; police responded to an act of domestic violence, boyfriend and girlfriend altercation, no restraining oRders were issued and actor left for the night.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 12:22 a.m. in the 100 block of Walnut Avenue Villas; report of a disorderly house with some type of fight at the location, residence was issued a summons for disorderly household.
Report of warrant arrest received at 2 a.m. in the 3800 block of Bayshore Road in North Cape May; police were investigating a suspicious person and the subject was wanted on $550 warrant and was transported to the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Report of domestic violence received at 1:19 p.m. at Seashore and Ferry Road in North Cape May; police were dispatched to domestic that was occurring in a motor vehicle between two sisters, police found the vehicle and there were no complaints or TRO issued.
Warrant Arrest received at 8:54 p.m. on Pinewood Avenue Villas; ISP officer issued a body warrant, subject was arrested and placed in the County jail without incident.
June 5:
Report of a motor vehicle accident at 2:29 p.m. in the 1500 block of Bayshore Rd Villas; 2 vehicles involved and no injuries reported one driver issued summons.
Report of a theft received at 4:51 p.m. in the 100 block of West New Jersey Avenue Villas; upon officer’s arrival theft of items by family member.
Report of domestic violence with assault received at 4:57 p.m. in the 200 block of Roseanne Avenue in North Cape May; upon officer’s arrival found subject causing criminal mischief and assaulting household member. Advised of rights no complaints at this time.
Report of harassment received at 6:05 p.m. in the 1800 block of Bayshore Road Villas; upon officer’s arrival was determined to be landlord tenant issue.
Report of harassment received at 8:46 p.m. in the 200 block of Ohio Avenue Villas; upon officer’s arrival complaint signed by caller.
Report of domestic violence received at 8:46 p.m. in the 100 block of Vermont Avenue Villas; police responded to an act of domestic violence, ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend altercation, no restraining orders or charges were issued and actor left.
June 6:
Report of a burglary received at 1:25 a.m. in the 3800 block of Bayshore Road in North Cape May; police located while on patrol smashed in front door and items including cash missing from commercial business. Investigation continues.
Report of a theft received at 8:52 a.m. in the area of Rochester Avenue in Diamond Beach; upon officer’s arrival theft of misc. commercial tools from job site valued at $2,500.
Report of a motor vehicle accident at 3:29 p.m. in the 900 block of Ocean Drive; Motorcycle accident involving the laying down of motorcycle and driver received injuries and was transported to Cape Regional Hospital.
Report of a motor vehicle accident at 9:57 p.m. in the first block of Booth Bay Drive in Tranquility; vehicle struck bicyclist rescue refused, no injuries reported no summons issued.
June 7:
Report of multiple mailboxes destroyed after 3:00 a.m. in the 100 block of Heidi Avenue in North Cape May; investigation continues.
Report of intoxicated driver at 9:34 p.m. in the area of Fishing Creek and Breakwater Road; Motor vehicle stop lead to arrest for driving while intoxicated and refusal to take a breath test.
