VILLAS – A 38-year-old Gloucester man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child.
The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and Lower Township police announced that David Revelli was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault, destruction of evidence and endangering the welfare of a child.
Lower Township police were notified of a sexual assault which had occurred in Lower Township Dec. 18. An investigation was conducted by township detectives and the Special Victims Unit of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office. Investigation and evidence collected led to the arrest of Revelli Jan. 31.
At the time of the sexual assault, Revelli worked and resided within Lower Township. He is presently being held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility on $300,000 bail.
Prosecutor Robert Taylor and Lower Township Police Chief William Mastriana recognized all the investigators in the case which resulted in a successful conclusion.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
