Lower Police Report Domestic Cases, Gun Recovery in Weekly Report

ERMA — During the week of Feb. 17-23, Lower Township Police handled 675 calls for an average of over 96 calls per day.
Feb.17:
Domestic violence complaint received at 2:19 a.m. in the 700 block of Hughes Avenue, North Cape May. Rights were given and no complaints or restraining order issed.
Report of criminal mischief at 9:34 a.m. in the 200 block of Bates Ave., Villas, broken window at a residence, investigation continues.
Domestic violence complaint received at 1:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Fern Road, Cape May Beach. Rights were given and no complaints or restraining order issued.
Report of disorderly conduct at 5:32 p.m. in the first block of East Weber Avenue, Villas. Police found an argument between two people over children. No complaints filed.
Domestic violence complaint with assault received at 7:19 p.m. in the 100 block of East Atlantic Avenue ,Villas. When officers arrived, the suspect was gone. Suspect was charged with assault and violation of a final restraining order, charges were signed and suspect was later arrested and taken to county jail.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 8:13 p.m. in the 700 block of Cox Lane, Erma. Police found an argument between complainant and former neighbors. Officers stood by so subjects could remove their property. No complaints filed.
Feb. 18:
A report received at 1:54 a.m. of two trash cans filled with what appears to be scrap metal hidden in some brush on the 300 block of Magnolia Street, Erma.
When officers arrived they found the cans filled and they kept watch on the cans. A short time later occupants of a pick up truck arrived and tried to load the cans.
When the occupants were approached by officers they fled on foot. Subjects were located and charged with theft as the items were being stolen from a neighbor on the above street.
The three subjects were placed in county jail.
Report of criminal mischief received at 10:19 a.m. in the first block of East Greenwood Avenue, Villas. Mailbox was damaged by knocking it off its post, investigation continues.
Report of harassment received at 10:35 a.m. in the 600 block, Townbank Road, North Cape May, harassment over the phone, no complaints signed.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 11:41 a.m. in the first block of Birch Road, Villas. Police received a 9-1-1 hang-up call, and when police responded there was an argument between father and son. No complaints signed.
Report of criminal mischief received at 12:07 p.m. in the 9700 block of Atlantic Avenue, Diamond Beach. A broken window of a motor vehicle was reported, investigation continues.
Report of assault at 4:13 p.m. in the 1200 block Bayshore Road, Villas. When officers arrived, victim did not want to pursue assault charges but charges were filed for trespassing. When the actor was arrested, he was found to be in possession of CDS. Subject was released on a summons for both charges.
Feb. 19:
Domestic violence complaint received at 12:14 a.m. in the 200 block of Frances Avenue, Villas. Rights were given and no complaints or restraining order issued.
Report of a sex assault received at 9:50 a.m. in the 300 block of Texas Avenue, Villas, which occurred about five years ago. Information was given to the Detective Division and is under investigation.
Report of harassment received at 1:51 p.m. in the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Villas, harassment by her neighbors, no complaint signed.
Report of criminal mischief received at 4:13 a.m. on Carol Avenue, Erma. Reporting party stated he had an altercation with a subject who kicked his car. No complaints signed.
Report of harassment received at 4:15 p.m. in the 100 block of West New jersey Avenue, Villas. Harassment was over the phone, no complaints signed.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 4:18 p.m. in the first block of Kentucky Avenue, Villas. A male and female were screaming at each other. Upon officer’s arrival, subjects were gone.
Domestic violence complaint with assault received at 7:32 p.m. in the 200 block of Atlantic Avenue, North Cape May. Subject was arrested for assault and bail was posted. Rights were given and a restraining order was granted by a judge and served on the subject.
Feb. 20:
Domestic violence complaint received at 9:26 a.m. in the 600 block of Town Bank Road., North Cape May. Rights were given and no complaints or restraining order issued.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 2 p.m. in the 3300 block of Bayshore Road, North Cape May, a female was on location causing a disturbance. Misunderstanding, no complaints signed.
Report of theft received at 4:17 p.m. in the100 block of East Bates Avenue, Villas, scrap metal was taken from the victim’s yard, investigation continues
Report of theft received at 4:29 p.m. in the 200 block of Walnut Lane, Erma, two stainless steel balls were taken from victim’s yard, items were recovered and charges were filed.
Feb. 21:
Report of trespassing received at 8:35 a.m. in the 1500 block of Bayshore Road., Villas. Upon police arrival, they were advised during the night hours kids are hanging around building, Request extra property checks.
Report of burglary received at 3:27 p.m. in the 200 block of West New Jersey Avenue, Villas. When police arrived, they were advised that several firearms were stolen from this residence, all firearms were recovered and charges were filed.
Report of a drunk driver at 3:53 p.m. in the area of Holmes and Artic Avenue, North Cape May. Subject arrested and charges were filed.
Report of harassment received at 4:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Old Mill Drive, North Cape May. Harassment by neighbors’ children, no complaints signed.
Domestic violence complaint received at 5:56 p.m. in the first block of Wildwood Avenue, Villas. Rights were given and a restraining order was granted by a judge and served on the subject.
Feb. 22:
Domestic violence complaint received at 11:26 a.m. in the block of Earl Drive, Erma, Rights were given and a restraining order was granted by a judge and served on the subject.
Domestic violence complaint received at 5:57 p.m. in the 200 block of West Pacific Avenue, Villas. Rights were given and no complaints or restraining order issued.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 7:46 p.m. at Lower Township Recreation Center, Villas. Juveniles were refusing to leave, and upon officer’s arrival subjects were gone.
Domestic violence complaint received at 7:56 p.m. in the 400 block of Sandalwood Road, Cape May Beach. Rights were given and no complaints or restraining order issued.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 9:32 p.m. in the 100 block of Orchard Drive, North Cape May. Two females were arguing. No complaints signed.
Domestic violence complaint received at 11:32 p.m. in the first block of West Wilde Avenue, Villas. Rights were given and no complaints or restraining order issued.
Feb. 23:
Domestic violence complaint received at 1:17 a.m. in the 3700 block of Bayshore Road, North Cape May. Rights were given and no complaints or restraining order issued.
Report of harassment received at 2:09 a.m. in the first block of Wilson Drive, Shawcrest. Harassment over the phone, and no complaints signed.
Report of criminal mischief received at 2:58 a.m .at Pilgrim Plaza and Washington Boulevard, North Cape May. It was reported that the grass was torn up by a car driving in circles, Investigation continues.
Report of burglary received at 8:24 a.m. in the 3800 block of Bayshore Road, North Cape May. When police arrived, they were advised that several cases of beer were stolen from a trailer, investigation continues.

Report of theft received at 3:10 p.m. in the 2600 block of Bayshore Road, Villas. Report of a stolen iPod, investigation continues.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 6:57 p.m. in the first block of Matthews Avenue, Villas. Argument between two family members, no complaints signed.
Report of criminal mischief received at 8:16 p.m. in the 3800 block of Bayshore Road, North Cape May. Report of a sign torn up by subjects in a car, Investigation continues.
