ERMA – During September, Chief William Mastriana reported Lower Township Police Department responded to 49 domestic violence complaints, 16 of those with assaults. Through the month there were 14 assaults, 59 adult arrests, two juvenile arrests, and three driving while intoxicated arrests.
There were five drug possession arrests, 13 burglaries, including motor vehicles, and 38 theft reports.
Officers conducted one death investigation.
In the month 52 motor vehicle accidents occurred, 446 motor vehicle stops took place, there were 24 traffic warnings issued and 133 traffic summons written.
Officers conducted 1,348 property checks, responded to 68 residential and commercial alarms, and joined firefighters at 46 calls. Of those fire calls, 19 were with Villas Fire Company, 15 were with Town Bank Fire Company and 12 were with Erma Fire Company.
Overall there were 3,815 general complaints and service calls, and 175 emergency medical calls with Lower Township Rescue.
Animal control complaints totaled 177 while disorderly conduct complaints were 106.
