VILLAS — Lower Township police arrested Jason Bordo, 32, Sun. March 11 for burglary and possession of stolen property after investigating reports of car burglaries.
Earlier in the day, Lower Township police received several reports of vehicles being burglarized the previous night on East Pacific Avenue in Villas.
Officer Jennifer Anzelone along with Detective Joe Boyle responded to the area to conduct an investigation regarding the vehicle break-ins. During their investigation, they discovered no signs of forced entry to these vehicles, some were admittedly unlocked.
Estimated value of the property stolen from these vehicles was in excess of $7,000.
At around 8:00 p.m. March 11, Anzelone received information from one of the victims, that a Jason Bordo, who resides on East Pacific Avenue in Villas, was the person who broke into these vehicles.
Officers Anzelone, Fessler and Detective Joe Boyle proceeded to Bordo’s residence to investigate this allegation during which Bordo gave permission for the police to search his property. While members of the Lower Township Police Detective Bureau were searching the garage belonging to Bordo, numerous stolen items were recovered including the items reported stolen earlier in the day.
The Lower Township Police Detective Bureau is processing the recovered property and is attempting to identify and locate the owners. A majority of the items recovered consist of electronic devices, such as I-Pods, satellite radios, and GPS’s along with other items.
