Lower Cops Allege Man Swapped Stolen Tags with Stolen Tags

COLD SPRING — Lower Township Police Department received a report of stolen license plates taken from a motor vehicle parked in the Riggins Gas Station in Schellenger’s Landing Thursday, June 24, at about 3 p.m.
After an investigation, it was determined that the actor removed two New Jersey license plates from a motor vehicle parked at the gas station awaiting repairs.
The actor, identified as Curtis Foy, 52, of the 4800 block Pacific Avenue, Wildwood allegedly replaced those license plates with another set of plates which had been reported stolen by Wildwood Police, from the City of Wildwood on June 17.
Within an hour, Lower Township Police identified Foy and arrested him at the Cape Atlantic Fisheries dock area with the stolen license plates still on his motor vehicle.
Foy was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property and lodged in county jail on $10,000 cash bail.
The investigation was conducted by Patrolman William McPherson and Special 0fficer Michael Kennedy.
