VILLAS — The Lower Township Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office concluded an investigation into the aggravated sexual assault of a 6-year-old female by a 20-year-old male on Sept. 24.
The suspect identified as Josue Montalvo, 20, of Matthews Avenue, Villas was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was arrested and processed at the Lower Township Police Department and then transferred to the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Superior Court Judge Wilde set bail at $100,000 cash for the aggravated sexual assault. Lower Township Police Detective Brian McEwing and Detective Mike Majane conducted the investigation with assistance from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
