Kane Admits Causing Toddler’s Death

COURT HOUSE – Elijah Ulbrich, a North Wildwood resident, then three years old, died on March 17, 2010, from severe head trauma. In court Tuesday, Mar. 27, his caretaker at the time of the injury, Charles R. Kane, Jr., of Lower Township, admitted responsibility for the fatality.
Kane’s admission, part of a plea agreement, will result in a 15-year sentence to state prison for first degree aggravated manslaughter.
